Project Details
Overview & Objectives
This project centered on designing a responsive website for a landscape lighting company specializing in residential and outdoor illumination. The primary goal was to showcase lighting work effectively—particularly nighttime installations—while clearly communicating services, credibility, and contact information.
Because lighting is inherently visual, the site needed to balance strong imagery with readability, ensuring that photographs enhanced the experience rather than overwhelming it.
Role & Responsibilities
I handled the design and front-end implementation with a focus on visual hierarchy and cross-device consistency.
Responsibilities included:
Designing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
Structuring content to highlight completed lighting projects and services
Ensuring readability over dark, image-heavy backgrounds
Creating clear calls-to-action for estimates and contact inquiries
Maintaining brand consistency across devices
Optimizing layouts for both daytime browsing and nighttime viewing contexts
Project Outcome & Learnings
The final site delivers a polished, image-forward experience that allows potential clients to immediately see the impact of professional landscape lighting. Responsive layouts ensure the work is presented clearly across all screen sizes, while restrained navigation keeps the focus on services and visual results.
This project reinforced the importance of contrast, typography, and layout discipline when working with dark themes and photography-heavy designs. It also strengthened my approach to service-based websites where trust and visual proof are equally important.
