Project Details
Overview & Objectives
This project focused on designing a responsive website for a custom frame shop and art gallery serving a local community. The primary objective was to create a clean, gallery-style digital experience that showcased craftsmanship while making it easy for customers to understand services, hours, and contact information.
The site needed to visually highlight framed artwork, reflect the quality of the business, and function seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Role & Responsibilities
I was responsible for the design and front-end implementation, ensuring the website balanced visual presentation with practical usability for a small, service-oriented business.
Key responsibilities included:
Designing a responsive layout optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile
Creating a gallery-style presentation to showcase framed artwork and projects
Structuring content to clearly communicate services, location, and business status
Designing simple navigation for easy browsing and discovery
Maintaining brand consistency and visual clarity across breakpoints
Supporting usability for both browsing and contact-driven user goals
Project Outcome & Learnings
The finished website delivered a clean, visually focused experience that reflected the craftsmanship of the business while remaining approachable and easy to navigate. The responsive design ensured artwork and content displayed consistently across devices, helping users explore projects and reach out with confidence.
This project reinforced the importance of restraint and visual hierarchy when designing for art-focused businesses. It strengthened my approach to balancing aesthetics with clarity, ensuring the design supports both storytelling and practical user needs.
