Project Details
Overview & Objectives
The Edge of Darkness project required a promotional website to support a novel series by showcasing book covers, trailers, and related media across devices. The primary objective was to create a visually immersive experience that reflected the tone of the series while guiding visitors toward exploration, engagement, and purchase.
The site needed to emphasize strong visual storytelling, support multimedia content, and remain fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
Role & Responsibilities
I was responsible for the design and front-end implementation of the promotional website, translating cinematic branding into a digital experience aligned with the book series’ themes.
Key responsibilities included:
Designing a visually driven layout centered around book artwork and characters
Creating responsive layouts optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
Supporting multimedia content, including trailers and promotional visuals
Structuring navigation for series content, books, and contact information
Maintaining visual consistency across pages and screen sizes
Balancing aesthetic impact with usability and performance
Project Outcome & Learnings
The completed website delivered a strong, immersive promotional presence that aligned with the tone and narrative of the Edge of Darkness series. Visual hierarchy and responsive layouts ensured that media content remained engaging and accessible across all devices.
This project strengthened my experience in media-focused design, particularly in balancing cinematic visuals with responsive structure. It also reinforced the importance of visual storytelling, layout discipline, and performance when working with image-heavy and promotional content.
