Project Details
Overview & Objectives
Classic Diner required a website that reflected its retro, 1950s-inspired brand while providing visitors with clear access to menu information, restaurant details, and contact information. The primary objective was to create a visually engaging, brand-forward website that captured the diner’s personality while remaining easy to navigate across devices.
The site needed to balance nostalgia and visual storytelling with usability, particularly for customers browsing menus or planning visits on mobile devices.
Role & Responsibilities
I was responsible for the design and front-end implementation of the website, translating the diner’s unique brand identity into a responsive, user-friendly digital experience.
Key responsibilities included:
Designing responsive layouts optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile
Incorporating retro-inspired visual elements to support brand identity
Structuring menu and informational content for readability
Implementing image galleries to reinforce atmosphere and experience
Ensuring consistent branding, layout, and navigation across pages
Supporting usability for both first-time visitors and returning customers
Project Outcome & Learnings
The completed website delivered a visually distinctive experience that aligned with the diner’s brand while remaining clear and functional across devices. Strong visual identity and structured content helped communicate atmosphere, offerings, and essential information without overwhelming users.
This project reinforced the importance of balancing brand expression with usability in hospitality-focused websites. It also strengthened my approach to designing responsive layouts that support visual storytelling, menu presentation, and customer engagement.
